Mission Statement:
At Union Springs we seek to reach out until we saturate our community and beyond with the gospel message of Jesus Christ. In so doing, we desire to reach individuals and families, who are within commuting distance of our ministry and to become agents of transformation and hope in the community at large. In addition, we envision providing multiple worship and ministry opportunities that will address the diverse spiritual, social, and economic concerns of God’s people and to become a very visible and viable presence in our community.
Statement of Purpose:
To have a meaningful and relative dialogue concerning the current spiritual and physical condition of disciples and the church at large. To discuss the vision and direction of the church, while proposing innovative ways to inspire, encourage and engage its members, visitors and potential believers, so to uplift Christ and the church. To establish goals, activities and services that will prompt church attendance and support financial obligations.
- Key Focus: To re-establish effective ministries and events that elevated the church and invoked true discipleship. To reach out to former members and undecided individuals to be a part of these ministries.
- To increase Evangelism, first within Union Spring and then to the surrounding community, through outreach programs and community service projects (such as feeding the hungry, supporting senior citizens, visiting the homeless shelters and prisons).
- To form bottom and bring financial stability to the church by way of proper tithing, sacrificial offerings, innovative fund raising and community support.
- To create or re-establish ministries that engage our youth on all levels. To recognize our youth at every opportunity and mentor them for leadership in the church.
- To partner with and support surrounding churches to increase Christian disciple in God’s universal church…the TRUE CHURCH!
